Fire Season Preparation & Notification

Student safety is SUSD's number-one priority. Fire season is truly here, and we will need to have a swift response in order to keep our students and community safe. Families should consider the following information to prepare for any emergencies:

  • Update your emergency contact information with your child's school site to ensure you receive notifications quickly.
  • Plan alternative childcare services in case SUSD must implement a minimum day schedule or closure.
  • Arrange alternative child transportation services in the event an emergency occurs while you are at work or out of the general area.
  • Establish alternative family communication lines to notify loved ones of your location and safety.

SUSD continuously monitors these situations and will notify the parent community of any changes in schedule or other fire-related issues via our parent notification system (Parent Square), our district/school websites, or district/school social media.

Stay safe and be prepared.

Welcome to Our New Website

We are pleased to welcome you to our new and improved, responsive (mobile friendly) website. We are grateful to the many district and school staff members who worked together to envision a website that reflects how much we care about our students. Our partnership with School Webmasters has made our vision a reality. Working with School Webmasters also helps us keep our websites ADA compliant for those with disabilities.
