Intra-District Transfers

For families who currently reside within the Saugus Union School District boundaries. An intradistrict transfer is when parents/guardians wish to enroll their student(s) at a school other than the designated "home school” in their attendance boundaries. A transfer form is obtained from the office manager at the school of residence.

Inter-District Transfers to Enroll Out of the District

For families currently residing within the Saugus Union School District (SUSD) boundaries. Interdistrict transfers requests must be completed with SUSD before applying/enrolling your child at the proposed district of attendance. The form is available online and must be submitted with supporting documentation to Elizabeth Krueger by email.

Inter-District Transfers In

If you currently reside outside of the Saugus Union School District boundaries and wish to enroll your child into one of our schools, please contact your district of residence for more information on the transfer process.

Open Enrollment (Intra & Inter Transfers)

The open enrollment window typically opens in late January, and a list of "open" schools will be updated on the website. Approval is subject to space and availability within the school, grade level, or program requested. An approved transfer into the district may not result in attendance at the site requested.

Impacted schools (defined by schools that have higher enrollment than projected enrollment, thus considered at full capacity) will not be available for transfers.

SUSD does not require annual renewal of intradistrict transfer permits.

For more information on registration and/or transfers, please contact Student Support Services, (661) 294-5300 ext. 5158.
