The Saugus Union School District is committed to the integrated use of technology across the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning. Our Technology Department works to ensure that students and educators have access to equipment and electronic devices necessary to enrich the educational experience.

Acceptable Uses of School Technology

The internet has an abundance of educational resources. We are pleased to use it in our schools. We do our best to ensure every student’s safety and request the help of parents as they teach their children how to responsibly use this great tool.

Acceptable uses of school technology include the following:

  • Researching assigned classroom projects
  • Sending electronic mail to other users
  • Using the services for legal purposes only
  • Using polite and appropriate language
  • Using only files/accounts assigned to the user
  • Acquiring permission to send or use copyrighted material
  • Using computer equipment properly
  • Maintaining privacy by not revealing any personal addresses, phone numbers, or information
  • Using the computer only as directed by the teacher
