Maintenance, Operations, Facilities, and Transportation

Maintenance and Operations

Often working behind the scenes, our Maintenance and Operations department ensures that the district’s schools and buildings are kept to a standard level of care that is conducive to learning. This includes landscape maintenance of district property, cleaning, painting, and conducting repairs related to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and alarm systems.

Facilities

Our Facilities staff is responsible for the planning and implementation of renovation, modernization, and expansion of our school facilities in order to provide an excellent physical environment for our current and future students and staff.

Our Mission

Our mission is to execute the facilities program at the Saugus Union School District year round, providing a 21st century, safe, functional, Common Core ready learning environment that supports the district’s goal of providing excellence in education, maintaining local accountability and minimizing overhead costs.
