On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the governing board of the Saugus Union School District recognized one recipient from each school site to receive the responsibility award. Responsibility is one of the character traits our students are learning in the social emotional curriculum. Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. This is a great accomplishment for our students to be recognized for being responsible role models so early in the school year. Responsibility is not an innate, but rather a learned behavior. We wish to congratulate the recipients and thank their parents, teachers, and school staff for teaching them this character trait.
