Quannah Chasinghorse is an indigenous model of Lakota and Hän Gwich’in ancestry.

Recognizing Veterans Day – November 11 – Schools Closed
On November 11, 2024, all Saugus Union School District sites will be closed in honor of Veterans Day. Veterans Day is a national holiday recognizing all who have served in the Armed Forces.

Celebrating National Native American Heritage Month: Sterlin Harjo
Sterlin Harjo is a writer, producer, and director. He has directed three feature films and a documentary, as well as the FX series Reservation Dogs about four indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma, for which he is also co-creator.
