After-School Childcare Registration

Important Announcement

After-school programs are coordinated by the Child Development Programs (CDP) Department. Information for 2025–2026 after-school childcare registration is the following:

  • April 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.: Priority registration opens for TK/K families and our unduplicated count students. This is the first group able to register.
  • April 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.: Registration opens for families currently enrolled in the Child Development Program.
  • April 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.: Registration opens for all Saugus Union School District families (current and incoming).

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, our TK/K program will become a half-day program and students in these grades will be released two hours before the rest of the grade levels. We will be offering two options for families with TK/K students for after-school care:

  • TK/K Option 1 (approximately 2 hours): Students stay during the transition time from their dismissal until the end of the regular school day.
  • TK/K Option 2 (approximately 5.5 hours): Students stay from their dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
  • Grades 1–6 (approximately 3.5 hours): Students stay from their dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Please find additional information and registration options on the CDP Eleyo page.
