The City of Santa Clarita is sponsoring a Family Resource Fair and Movie Night at Newhall Elementary School on October 18, 2024 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. This event is open to the public and sponsored by the city’s Gang Prevention Task Force. The Gang Prevention Task Force addresses gang-related issues in Santa Clarita by fostering open communication between agencies, involving youth in positive programs, and connecting families to essential services to reduce the attraction of gang life. The task force focuses on key goals, including youth and neighborhood engagement, parent education and support, access to resources and social services, interagency collaboration, and suppression efforts.
