Preschool
Admission Requirements
Children must be four years of age on or before December 2nd of the current school year, toilet trained, and live within the SUSD boundary. If space permits, children who reach three years of age by September 2nd of the current school year, and are toilet-trained may also be enrolled. Enrollment at each site is limited and is determined by lottery basis. Please contact the site supervisor of the Child Development Program at your home school. They will provide you with detailed registration information.
Bouquet Preschool
The Saugus Union School District is enrolling now for a full-day preschool located at Bouquet Elementary. The program will open on July 1st and is available to children 3 and 4 years of age. Bouquet Preschool will be open for tours on Thursday, May 24th from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Registration paperwork will be available. We look forward to meeting new families!
Contract Preschool Programs
A state preschool program option is available for three and four old children from low-income families. This program is contracted through the State Department of Education, Child Development Division and is available on the campuses of Cedarcreek and Rio Vista Elementary Schools. Los Angeles Universal Preschool programs are available to four year olds living in the attendance boundaries of Mountainview and Santa Clarita elementary schools. This program is contracted through Los Angeles County First Five Commission established by Proposition 10. Staff
Preschool Instructors are qualified and educated Early Childhood Education professionals, who provide a nurturing and safe environment for your children. Teachers are encouraged to continue their education and are given an opportunity to attend seminars and workshops to further develop their skills. Each site maintains a low adult to child ratio (1:8 - 1:12) per class. All programs adhere to Title 5 and Title 22 guidelines.
Program Hours
Fun For Three and Fours operates 3.5 hours per day Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A multi-day option may be available. Parents who do not pick up their child by the scheduled closing time will be charged a late fee.
Registration and Tuition
There is a $50 annual registration fee for each child. The annual registration fee is non-refundable and is not applicable to tuition. Monthly tuition must be paid by the first day of the month. Tuition is based upon a monthly rate and is not prorated for daily attendance, holidays, or pupil-free days. The preschool program follows the Saugus Union School District school calendar.
